Utilize reading and creative responses to inspire art making practice, as well as explore creative reuse (upcycling), as access points and outlets to the arts for students who are blind or visually impaired.

What will I learn?
- Engage students at any level in arts making practices via various approaches to elicit creative response (ex/ reading, responding, utilizing materials to make a course content-inspired works of art).
- Support students in finding a topic of interest to create multiple projects from engagement in course content & class discussion.
- Create at least one tangible work of art based on some content from the course.
What should I expect?
- Expand creative and critical thinking skills, while responding to artistic and literary prompts.
- Gain strategies for creating tangible artworks from recycled materials, while weaving in content, themes, and symbolism based on written texts.

This open studio session provides a flexible and supportive space for students who are blind or have low vision to work on their current art projects. Rather than following a traditional class structure, you can use this time to continue
