The Dots for Tots program (previously known as Special Collection) promotes braille literacy and fosters an early love of reading by providing FREE braille storybook kits to blind and visually impaired children.
Who can receive Dots for Tots storybook kits?
Any visually impaired child living in the United States or Canada is eligible to receive books from the Dots for Tots. The books are designed for children under six. Parents, educators, and paraprofessionals are encouraged to subscribe to our Dots for Tots program to receive books.
How many braille storybook kits can be ordered?
Two storybook kits come in every order.
Is there a charge for the storybook kits?
The storybook kits are free of charge for all Dots for Tots subscribers; available while inventory lasts.
What comes in a storybook kit?
Each kit includes a multi-sensory storybook which includes a board book with uncontracted braille overlays and a learning tool that represents the characters or concepts of the story. You can also enjoy listening to recorded audio book formats of each storybook.
