We often think of exercise in the physical sense, but art and music can reach those additional senses that stimulate creative-expression, energize and even soothe. That’s why Braille Institute offers a variety of enriching classes for any skill-level. Whether you dust off that instrument in the closet, warm-up your vocal cords, thread-up a sewing machine, or decide to cultivate a new hobby you’ve always wanted to try, you will find our Arts & Music programs are hands-on and upbeat!
Arts
Acrylics. Ink. Paper Mache. Clay. Tile. Fabric. Name the medium, and chances are Braille Institute art students have it at their fingertips.
The arts not only fulfill the important and fundamental human need for creative expression, but they are also a powerful way to develop tactile and problem-solving skills; stimulate and maintain visual memory and promote self-confidence.
A variety of classes are offered each semester from beginner to more advanced. Our students have entered arts festivals, had their art featured.
