Payroll Deduction

Many companies offer employees the opportunity to donate to their favorite charities through automatic payroll deductions in partnership with outside federations such as United Way or America’s Charities. Braille Institute participates in the California State Employees Charitable Campaign (CSECC) through the Partners for a Better World federation.

Matching Gifts

An Employer Matching Gift program enables companies and their employees to collaborate in their charitable giving.  Some employers will double or triple the employee’s donation!  Generally, the employee selects a charity of his or her choice, completes the employer’s Matching Gift Application and submits the application with the donation to Braille Institute.

Employee Directed Donations

Sometimes a company will make a special large donation to Braille Institute because the employee or a family member uses our services or is a Braille Institute volunteer.  Braille Institute has received donations of $5,000 and more because a company employee took the initiative to seek help from his or her employer!

Please ask your Human Resources Department how you can support Braille Institute through your company’s Payroll Deduction, Matching Gift or Employee Directed Donations programs.
