Programs & Services
At Braille Institute Laguna Hills Neighborhood Center free one-on-one consultations with Low Vision Rehabilitation Specialists can help determine the correct devices to maximize your remaining vision.
Our consultants address quality of life changes, kitchen confidence, using technology, and orientation and mobility, focusing on your specific goals, degree of sight loss and home environment.
Lifestyle classes, activities and workshops help adults with sight loss build practical skills, regain independence, learn about the latest in medical development, and foster a sense of community. Individuals may sign up at any time.
Library patrons have access to more than 18,000 magazines, newspapers, and book titles in English and Spanish. We also offer free digital book machine readers, and downloadable books.
Through our Connection Pointe technology center, we offer free instruction and demonstrations on all the latest mainstream and adaptive devices.
This program for infants, children and teens, who are blind or visually impaired, creates opportunities to gain life experiences fostering confidence, self-esteem and independence, leading to higher education and employment.
Our staff and volunteers are available to give presentations, low vision consultations, lead peer support groups and table at events.
