Welcome to the Braille Challenge season!
This page offers comprehensive information about the event, from pre-season activities through to Braille Challenge Finals.
The Braille Challenge season takes place in two stages each year:
- Stage 1: Braille Challenge Preliminaries where students that read braille can participate.
- Stage 2: Braille Challenge Finals where the top 50 in the U.S., Canada, the UK, Ireland, and Australia compete.
Timeline for Regional Coordinators:
September
Regional Coordinator Conference Call
Coordinators who organize a Regional Braille Challenge are invited to join the Conference Call. The Braille Challenge Team provides updates for the upcoming season, and the platform offers coordinators the opportunity to connect with each other.
October
Collateral Order Form
Coordinators can use the form found here to submit information about their upcoming regional event. With this information, the Braille Challenge Team will provide you with supporting materials for the season. This form should be completed three months before the intended regional event date.
November
Contest Order Form
The online contest order form becomes available. The form will be shared with coordinators who have submitted collateral order forms for the current season. This form should be completed three weeks before the intended regional event date.
January – March
Official Start to the Braille Challenge Preliminary Season
Braille Challenge Regional events take place across the globe during this window.
June
Braille Challenge Finals
The top 50 students across the U.S., Canada, the UK, Ireland, and Australia regionals join us in Los Angeles for two days of camaraderie and fun as students compete in the second and final stage of the Braille Challenge competition!
