Resources for Adults Working with Blind Children

Partners in Literacy is a cost-effective program designed specifically to help teachers and librarians build a library of braille materials.

Based on our popular Braille Special Collection Program, our Partners in Literacy Program is designed to meet the needs of professionals working with blind and visually impaired children. It provides teachers, school district administrators and librarians with a cost-effective way of building a contemporary, diverse library of materials for braille-reading students of all ages — even when they are on a tight budget!

Partners access our Online Special Collection Catalog through our Web site. Thirty to 35 fiction and non-fiction titles are available for order until the posted deadline. Two to three Dots for Tots kits and one Tac-Tales kit are also available each season.

Partners may order as many books as they like, including multiple copies of one title, up to a total of 25 per year. Partners also benefit by being the first to be informed of special offers and overflow inventory made available free of charge.

Please note: The Partners discount only applies to titles produced for the seasonal Special Collection Program. Orders from our full catalog of 1,100 children's books are invoiced separately at the list price.
