Low Vision Public Health Brief

The Office of Senior Health, in the Division of Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention within the Los Angeles County Dept. of Public Health, researches specific health topics of greatest concern for older adults and compiles this information into public health briefs. Braille Institute collaborated with the Office of Senior Health to formally identify low vision as a health concern for older adults, and to present recommendations to consumers, family members, health care providers, and policymakers that are beneficial and user friendly. This resulted in our public health brief: "Low Vision and Blindness Among Adults in Los Angeles County."
