ACCOUNTANT — (Job#: 10-11)
Duties Include: Perform accounts receivable duties such as: prepare deposit, daily cash receipts, invoices, fund raising mail, sale taxes, monthly journal entries; assist in performing accounts payable, monthly bank reconciliation and investment reconciliations.
Minimum Requirements: Entry level accountant position requiring basic understanding of accounting; must have strong knowledge of MS Word and Excel; must be a self starter and detail oriented; Accounting related degree.PUBLIC EDUCATION SPECIALIST — (Job#: 10-7)
Duties Include: Responsible for managing electronic template files, updating copy and coordination of production and distribution; compile website analytics and monthly Public Education reports; support Marketing/Public Relations Director with media lists, publicity and background for stories; monitor social networking site on a daily basis; data entry purchase orders and track vendor information and project status; Public Education materials distribution and inventory; handle all internal signs requests.

Duties Include: Provide administrative support by answering phones, greeting vendors and visitors; preparing written correspondence and assist in administering the processing and handling of check requests, purchase orders, invoices and requisitions; assist Vistas store customers in selecting & purchasing merchandise; perform mailing, copying, shipping and receiving in the absence of assigned staff; provide backup for the Sight Center Switchboard Operator.
Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 1 year related experience preferably in retail or customer service; must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet; must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.PROMOTORA, EL PODER SIN VER (On Call) – (Job#: 10-1)
Duties Include: Recruitment of participants at a variety of locations; churches, community centers, senior centers, health fairs, etc; provide lesson plans that meet the need of participants; measure participant outcomes through evaluation forms; use a variety of teaching strategies to instruct classes; complete all documentation in a timely manner.

ASSISTANT REGIONAL DIRECTOR, ORANGE COUNTY – (Job#: 10-12)
Duties Include: Direct operation of Regional Center in the absence of the Regional Director; supervise daily staff operations; assist with development and implementation of programming; develop professional relationships to increase Braille Institute visibility in Orange County; assist with development of department budgets and staff performance evaluations; review and oversee time and attendance; assist in planning and coordination of special events; represent Braille Institute at approved meetings and speaking engagements.

Duties Include: On call driver to transport students to classes, events and activities. Maintain cleanliness of vehicles; routinely inspect vehicles for proper operation.

REGISTRAR – (Part-time In-House) — (Job#: 10-3)
Duties Include: Create and maintain all class codes for in-house educational programs; post and distribute all rosters; complete all on-line requests for information and change of addresses; fulfill student requests regarding drop/adds and of leave of absences; provide assistance to the Student Advisor as needed.
Minimum Requirements: Must have strong verbal and written communication skills; strong computer and data input skills; strong organizational and prioritization skills; previous database management; previous experience working with individuals with a disability is a plus.REGISTRAR – (Part-time Outreach) — (Job#: 10-6)
Duties Include: Enroll all outreach students; create and maintain all class codes and distribute class rosters; complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner; provide administrative assistance; assist with student recruitment at a variety of locations; assist Outreach Instructor with classes and duties.
