Nominate Your Teacher for the Visually Impaired for Our Annual Award—Deadline is March 23, 2012

Parents, teachers and administrators—Take this opportunity to honor the important role your teacher of the visually impaired plays in the lives of children. Download and print out the three-page nomination form. The winner will be nationally recognized and flown to LA to take part in The Braille Challenge Finals this June. The winner will be our guest at the gala Awards Ceremony, and will be presented with a PacMate notetaker or Focus 40 Blue Braille Display—generously provided by our sponsor, Freedom Scientific—and receive a cash award and trophy.

West Virginia TVI Trina Britcher Selected for The Braille Challenge® 2011 Award for Excellence in Braille Instruction

Following the presentation of a short documentary highlighting her achievements in and out of the classroom, Ms. Britcher accepted her award at the gala Braille Challenge Awards Ceremony, Saturday, June 25, at the Universal Hilton Hotel from Challenge Director Nancy Niebrugge.
