Classes in Your Community

Braille Institute offers classes in your community at more than 220 locations throughout Southern California. Designed for those adults who don't live near one of our Centers, our outreach efforts provide a wealth of programs, events, and seminars in communities throughout Southern California. We can help you or your loved one live an active, rich life, despite the challenges of diminished sight.

With topics ranging from home management and looking your best, to organizing your monthly bills and knowing your rights and resources, Braille Institute's classes in the community can provide you with the skills you need to live your life to the fullest.

Mobile Solutions

Our Mobile Solutions vehicles travel throughout Southern California to bring our services and adaptive devices directly to you. On board the vehicles you can receive a Low Vision Consultation, see demonstrations of several kinds of assistive technology, purchase adaptive items from Vistas, our retail store, and sign up for Braille Institute's award-winning Library Services. Please note that an appointment is necessary to meet one-on-one with a specialist. Please contact the location to schedule an appointment. A referral from your eye care specialist is helpful but not mandatory.

Speakers Bureau

Braille Institute also offers trained speakers with knowledge and expertise on living with low vision. Find out how to bring one of them to your community to educate and inspire.
