What is Community Outreach?
Lack of transportation often makes it difficult to go to one of our regional centers for services. Our extensive Community Outreach Program provides our educational, social and enrichment classes at more than 100 locations throughout Southern California.
What subjects are covered in Outreach classes?
Many of the same courses that are taught at the regional centers are offered at Outreach locations. These include independent living skills, discussion groups, communication skills, braille reading and writing, computers and many others. You also may sign up for Braille and Talking Book Library services and Low Vision Rehabilitation consultations at Outreach centers.
How can I find classes near me?
We have five Regional Centers throughout the Southern California area. Each Regional Center provides Community Outreach programs.
