By making a gift to the Braille Institute Tribute Fund, you can honor a special occasion, pay tribute to someone you care about or celebrate the memory of a loved one — while helping blind children and adults discover hope and independence. Birthdays, anniversaries and graduations are wonderful occasions to honor someone with a tribute gift. There are also those times when you want to thank someone or simply give a gift because you care about them. Your tribute gift is tax deductible and helps Braille Institute extend its services to the growing number of children and adults who are confronted with sight loss. Braille Institute will send you an acknowledgement of the gift and we will inform anyone you designate of the tribute gift, without specifying the amount of the gift. So, for example, if you make a tribute gift in memory of someone, you may wish to have family members notified. If the gift is made in honor of someone, we will notify that individual.
Each Braille Institute center has a prominently displayed Memorial Plaque. For gifts totaling $1,000 or more that are made in memory of someone who has passed away, the honoree's
name will be added to the Memorial Plaque in the Braille Institute center of your choosing.
