1. Eligibility: BIA Online Contests (the "Contests") are open only to individuals who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including D.C.) who are at least 13 years of age (“Entrants”). Employees and board members of Braille Institute of America, Inc. (“Sponsor”) and its advertising, promotion, or production agencies, web masters and web suppliers, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee or board member are not eligible, unless otherwise stated. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

3. Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in a Contest constitutes Entrant's full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor's decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contests. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

4. Frequency: The Contests are held monthly beginning on November 1, 2010 and shall continue until Sponsor determines to discontinue the Contests in its sole and absolute discretion.

5. How to Enter: Visit www.brailleinstitute.org for details on the Contests and specific entry information. Some Contests require the submission of original works created by Entrants including without limitation photographs, poems, essays, writings, artwork (“Works”). BY SUBMITTING WORKS IN ANY OF THE CONTESTS, ENTRANT HEREBY GRANTS TO SPONSOR A NON-EXCLUSIVE, PERPETUAL AND ROYALTY FREE LICENSE TO USE SUCH WORKS ON A WORLDWIDE BASIS INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION INCORPORATING SUCH WORKS INTO OTHER WORKS, IN ANY FORM, MEDIA OR TECHNOLOGY NOW KNOWN OR LATER DEVELOPED, FOR PROMOTIONAL, EDUCATIONAL, MARKETING OR OTHER PURPOSES. All Works submitted will become the exclusive property of Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor shall have the right to edit, adapt and publish any or all Works and may use them in any media without attribution or compensation to the Entrant, his/her successors or assigns, or any other entity.

6. Winner Notification: Winners will be notified according to contact information provided at the time of entry.

7. Release and Indemnification: By participating, Entrant agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor and its respective board members, agents, employees and volunteers (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, suits or causes of action for any injury or damage to persons or property arising out or related to any of the Contests or any Contest-related activity.

8. General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify any Contest, at any time in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant for submission of any material or information that is false, fraudulent, misleading, pornographic, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

9. Limitations of Liability: Released Parties are not responsible for: (i) technical failures including without limitation malfunctions or interruptions in phone lines, computer systems, internet or network connections, servers, hardware or software; (ii)) late, lost, or undeliverable submissions; (iii) any injury or damage to persons or property resulting from the use or misuse of any prize (including any travel/activity related thereto).

10. Privacy Policy: Information collected from Entrant is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy (http://www.brailleinstitute.org/About_Us/Policies.aspx). By participating, Entrant consents to disclosure and publication of Entrant’s name on any exhibition, display, publication, solicitation or promotional or educational material or on any website, blog or other means of electronic communication including without limitation BIA's website, Facebook, Twitter or YouTube.
