Gelson's was founded in 1951 by brothers Bernard and Eugene Gelson as an extraordinary grocery shopping experience for discerning consumers. Now with 18 locations in Southern California, Gelson's Markets is recognized as one of the nation's premier supermarket chains. Gelson's is supporting Braille Institute by offering informational materials in their stores, as well as providing training for their staff on serving customers with low vision and supporting our partnership with Cleanlogic and the Inspiration Foundation.

AAA is participating in our outreach by distributing informational
materials at events throughout the region in an effort to help people
with low vision evaluate their driving ability and learn other ways to
stay mobile and independent.

SCAN Health Plan
SCAN Health Plan is the fourth-largest not-for-profit Medicare health plan in the nation, serving more than 130,000 members. Their mission is focused exclusively on helping make life better for seniors. For more than thirty years SCAN has demonstrated a unique passion for finding innovative ways to enhance seniors’ ability to manage their own health and continue to control how and where they live.
Braille Institute is partnering with SCAN Health Plan to help increase awareness about our free low vision services. We will be working with SCAN throughout the year to host educational events and seminars in the community, as well as to introduce the public to some new and exciting programs designed to foster overall health and wellness among seniors and people of all ages.
