ORIENTATION AND MOBILITY SPECIALIST — (Job#: 11-39)  

Duties Include: Conduct Orientation and Mobility assessments; develop, prepare and implement an instruction plan for all assigned students; use a variety of teaching strategies and adaptive training; prepare completion reports and monthly assessments; conduct seminars for staff, volunteers, students and the general public as needed.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Orientation & Mobility required and a Master’s degree is preferred; Certified Orientation & Mobility specialist (ACVREP certified); effective communications skills; ability to relate to diversified clients; valid driver’s license with clean driving record; bi-lingual preferred (English/Spanish).

YOUTH ASSISTANT (On Call) — (Job#: 11-29)

Duties Include: Implement and evaluate individual and group skill based programs; maintain communication between program, families, educators and other community leaders; drive students in company vehicles to and from activities; insure all youth activities are conducted according to established safety policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements: Valid California class C driving license; clean driving record; prior experience working with special needs children, youth, & young adults; ability to work a varied schedule; Class B driving license preferred, CPR & First Aid certified preferred.

Rancho Mirage Center

DRIVER (On Call) — (Job#: 9-39) 

Duties Include: On call driver to transport students to classes, events and activities. Maintain cleanliness of vehicles; routinely inspect vehicles for proper operation.
Minimum Requirements: Class B driving license, clean driving record; CPR & First Aid certified; Current Medical Card; Air Brake Certification; Passenger endorsement.

San Diego Center

YOUTH/CAREER CONSULTANT – (Job#: 11-38)

Duties include: Provide planning, supervision and evaluation for all youth programs and activities; meet with parents on a regular basis to access needs, provide resources and form collaborative, goal oriented relationships; insure program safety standards; provide training, supervision and evaluation a team of Youth Assistants and program volunteers.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in a related field; 1 to 2 years experience working with youth and special needs population; prior demonstrated supervisory experience is required; effective written and oral communication skills; ability to develop measurable goals, set priorities and evaluate process; good computer skills, including MS Word, Internet; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus; current CPR and Basic First Aid Certification; knowledge of Braille preferred, must have clean driving record; class B drivers license preferred.

YOUTH ASSISTANT (On Call) — (Job#: 11-35) 

Duties Include: Provide sighted guide assistance, recreational training, independent living skills instruction and social skills training as determined by student’s needs; provide strong, exemplary leadership when in the company of students; insure all youth activities are conducted according to established safety policies and procedures; assist with research, program development and evaluation of youth activities.
Minimum Requirements: Experience working with youth, effective communication skills, valid California class C driving license; clean driving record; enjoy working with children, youth, & young adults; Class B driving license preferred, CPR & First Aid certified preferred.
