Braille Institute provides technical advice about the portrayal of blind characters for theater, film and television. It is part of our mission of public education to ensure that realistic images of blind people are projected in the media. The institute provides this service free of charge to whomever requests it.

Advisors are available to answer questions over the phone or in person, lead VIP tours of Braille Institute, demonstrate access technology and "gadgets," explain and demonstrate the proper use of a white cane, suggest acting techniques and provide guidance on the set.
